DESCRIPTION:Join Bath Interiors Collective for a visit to Killens Mendip Auction Rooms\, where we’ll discover how auctions can be a brilliant source of unusual finds\, antiques and one-off pieces that bring character to an interior. \nWhether you’re sourcing for a client or looking for something interesting for your own home\, this is a chance to explore the saleroom\, learn a little more about buying at auction and discover the potential of pieces you might otherwise overlook. \nWhat to expect \n\nWelcome and introduction from the auction house team.\nBrowse the upcoming Home & Interiors sale\, with around 30 minutes to explore the lots and spot anything that catches your eye.\nCoffee\, biscuits and an informal talk about sourcing at auction\, finding interesting pieces and what to look out for.\nGuess the object! A chance to examine some more unusual finds and see if you can work out what they are\, how they were originally used and how they might be repurposed in contemporary interiors.\nQuestions and discussion\, with plenty of opportunity to pick the team’s brains about buying at auction\n\nAuctions aren’t just about valuable antiques. They’re full of unexpected objects\, forgotten treasures and pieces with stories to tell. Sometimes all it takes is a little imagination to give something a completely new life. \nFree to attend.
